PENNSYLVANIA PARTNERS IN THE ARTS

In partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), PRAA administers the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA) Project Stream regranting in Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Indiana, Lawrence, Somerset and Westmoreland Counties.  Funding is available in amounts to conduct arts projects, which are available to the general public.  The grant year runs from September 1 – August 31.  Application materials are normally available by in the month of May preceding the grant year, and applications are due in mid-June.  Funds are awarded through a competitive process.  PRAA annually holds grantseeking and grantwriting workshops each May.  Check this site closer to the date for workshop and application information.

The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) announces the availability of grant funds through the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA) Project Stream. Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA) is a partnership between local organizations and the PCA.
A total of 13 local organizations administer PPA and serve all 67 counties in Pennsylvania. Grant funds support a wide variety of local and community arts activities.

The Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance (PRAA) is the PPA partner organization in this region, serving the counties of Armstrong, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland.

PPA Project Stream grants are available to support arts activities that take place between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2012. Grant requests may not exceed $3,000. Applications are due postmarked on or before June 17, 2011. The online application and guidelines can be seen at http://pca.egrant.org

A series of workshops will be held for grant applicants. Anyone wishing to apply to the Project Stream is advised to attend a workshop to get detailed information about the application process. Applicants may attend a workshop in any location regardless of their home county.

Workshops are scheduled as follows:
Saturday May 21 – Indiana County – Philly Street Café, 734 Philadelphia Street, Indiana from 10 AM – 12 Noon
Monday May 23 – Westmoreland County - Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main Street, Greensburg from 2 – 4 PM
Tuesday May 24 – Cambria County – Community Arts Center of Cambria County, 1217 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown from 4 – 6 PM
Wednesday May 25 – Somerset County – Laurel Arts, 214 S. Harrison Avenue, Somerset from 4 – 6 PM
