The Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization committed to the development and promotion of the arts throughout rural areas of Pennsylvania. Recognizing a need for the dissemination of information and special assistance to existing and emerging arts organizations and individual artists, PRAA was founded in 1988.
Membership in PRAA is open to artists, directors, general managers and/or board members of arts organizations, and all others interested in the advancement of the arts in non-metropolitan regions of Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance's activities are supported by membership dues and grants from private foundations and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
The office of PRAA is located in the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
